2010 Waugh Cellars Pinot Noir
Harvest: September 30, 2010
Production: 200 CASES
If you are making wine by the numbers, nothing would be worse than the 2010 vintage. It was a difficult year for grape growing, however, if you were patient and paid attention to the vineyards, carrying the right amount of crop in order for the vines to be able to mature and ripen, you were handsomely rewarded.
This wine is going to last well over a decade. The first smell of intense raspberry and strawberry notes are classic Russian River Pinot Noir. The low yields were able to provide the wine concentrated aromas and flavors, while still maintaining that great acidic backbone due to the cool growing season.
This vintage is a great indicator of our company’s focus on quality grape growing, which results in quality wines. We are excited for everyone to taste our hard work and we know all of our FOWCers will love it.
