Elegance is the best word to describe the 2012 vintage of Waugh Zinfandel. With a nice even growing season with no major heat spikes and quite a few cool days, we saw wonderful development of fruit and structure on the vine. Not wanting to press the vineyard and push maturity out of balance, we picked late September and fermentation was spot on. This is a much more nuanced Zinfandel than most Waugh Zinfandels, but your palate will feel the quality of this great wine.

Dynamic aromas of spice and soft vanilla dominate the first sniff. A Velvet like mouth feel compliments the balanced acidity and lingering tannins and a smooth deep finish.
