Rich deep flavors and structure defines the 2013 vintage of Waugh Zinfandel. With an incredibly even growing season and no major weather drama we picked in the middle of September, providing the vines a perfect length growing season. Fermentation was classic with no stress!
Complex flavors of raspberry and cherry give way to intriguing notes of spices and pepper. The wine is dense and complex, but does not over power the palate with too much of any single character - everything is in balance and carries the right amount of finesse. A velvet like mouth feel compliments the balanced acidity and lingering tannins and a smooth deep finish.
Enjoy!
