Harvest Date:     September 10, 2013
Brix: 24.5
Ph:  3.40
% Alcohol:  14.2%
Production:   460 cases

As always, there was no Malo-lactic fermentation and no new oak used in the aging of Waugh Chardonnay. The wine was barrel fermented, in 100% neutral oak and the lees was stirred at minimum once a week, which accounts for its incredible viscosity and creamy mouth feel.

Our 2013 Russian River Valley Chardonnay is an incredibly elegant wine. Citrus aromas of pineapple and lemon are enhanced by a zesty spice reminiscent of a tropical breeze. Powerful flavors of peaches, pears and kiwi with a creamy yet tart finish and bright acidity make for a delicious experience for your palate. Pair this wine with a gouda cheese or a sweet corn chowder, as well as with a savory pork tenderloin.
